Grand Oaks

Inspired by "Hygge," a Danish word the clients described as a meld of farmhouse and Hampton styles, this remodel project drew from rustic and vintage elements with an overall timeless aesthetic.

We started this kitchen and laundry room remodel by removing an interior wall to open the galley kitchen into the dining room area, creating an open layout and maximizing flow within a small and limited space. We also relocated an interior wall between the kitchen and laundry room to maximize the kitchen space and create a separate mudroom and laundry room.

Laundry Room Remodel

While budget constraints did not allow for custom cabinetry, our design team was able to achieve a timeless aesthetic with prefabricated cabinets. Traditional subway tiles with an organic, rustic texture tied in the Hygge design elements. Quartz Countertops were fabricated and installed by our countertop team, and the wood floors were refinished, sanded, stained, and installed by our flooring team

The modern blue ceramic floor tile in the laundry room beautifully compliments the blue color of the specialty Dutch door, designed to maximize light and airflow. Rustic brass finishes were selected for the faucet and light fixtures throughout.
